Henderson Global Investors has hired Gareth Quantrill, former investment director at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, as its new head of credit.

Quantrill's hire represents another step in the strategy of David Jacob, recently hired as Henderson's head of fixed income from UBS Global Asset Management, to rebuild his firm's bond operations.
