Henderson Global Investors has recruited David Jacob from UBS Global Asset Management as head of bonds, as a result of which Ian Buckley will resign as the firm's chief investment officer.

Roger Yates, Henderson chief executive said: "We've been looking for a heavy hitter in bonds for a little while, and now we have found one."
