Herbert Smith, the UK law firm, is expanding its international capital markets practice by recruiting Charles Howarth, a partner with rival Linklaters.

Howarth specialises in equity and equity-linked transactions, principally acting for investment banks. He recently spent two years in Linklaters' Frankfurt office. He will start at Herbert Smith in early December.
