Hermes Pensions Management has made three new appointments to bolster its team responsible for corporate governance and shareholder activism.

John Leach will become executive director at Hermes Focus Asset Management, which manages the Hermes UK Focus Fund and will be responsible for working with companies in the fund to address structural and strategic governance issues to improve performance.
