Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow, the pensions consultancy firm, has won a multi-service mandate from France's largest company.

Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow will provide the actuarial, pensions and investment consulting for TotalFinaElf, the fifth largest oil company globally. The French company has merged its 13 defined benefit plans in the UK into a single new plan, which has about £1bn (€1.57bn) of assets.
