The private equity firm HgCapital has held final closes on its eighth flagship buyout fund and a new technology vehicle - raising more than £3 billion combined after hitting the upper limits on both.
The firm collected £2.5 billion for its main HgCapital 8 fund and £575 million for the Mercury fund - which invests in the technology, media and telecommunications sector - according to a statement.
