Financial News is revisiting some of the most read picture galleries from 2011. In this gallery, which was published in March, we reported the results of our fourth annual Women in Finance survey, which asked female professionals about their thoughts on gender in the workplace.

The survey found that the glass ceiling is very much in place. Polled on a variety of subjects from family to compensation and the financial crisis, women widely reported that gender inequality was still a major problem in the workplace and one that employers did little to correct.
