Hit rates on the up for UK mandates

Shift in focus is improving managers success at beauty parades

Fund managers are claiming surprisingly high hit rates when they pitched for new business with UK institutions last year.

The hit rate, or conversion rate, shows how often a manager wins a mandate as a result of going to a shortlist beauty parade. Anecdotally, a hit rate of one in three is considered good.
