Nicola Horlick, the City fund manager standing for the Liberal Democrats in the Chelsea and Fulham constituency, failed in her bid to unseat Conservative MP Greg Hands — although she increased the Lib Dems’ vote share by 15 percentage points.
Horlick, a former chief executive of SG Asset Management, was one of the most high-profile candidates with a City background standing in the election. A staunch Remainer, she told FN last month she was frustrated by those in the City who think Brexit will be good for financial services.
