Roman Abramovich’s longtime US law firm Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom cut ties with the Russian oligarch before he was hit with UK sanctions on 10 March, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Abramovich had relied on New York law firm Skadden as a key adviser for more than two decades.
