HP replaces ousted Fiorina

Hewlett Packard, the financial technology giant, has appointed a president and chief executive to replace Carly Fiorina, who was ousted from the group last month.

Mark Hurd joins HP from NCR Corporation, a firm that makes automated teller machines in the US. He worked at NCR for 25 years and was made president and chief executive in March 2003.
