HSBC's corporate investment banking and markets division has appointed Ian Cohen as global equities business strategy officer and head of equity market structures in Europe.

Cohen moves into a newly-created role in which he will be responsible for co-ordinating HSBC's global equities business strategy and for all commercial and structural aspects of HSBC's trading activities with third parties in Europe. He joined the team at the end of July.
