HSBC has hired Chris Jones from Deutsche Bank to a newly-created role as global head of Euro medium term notes and structured debt.

He will join HSBC's corporate, investment banking and markets group as a managing director later this year after a period of gardening leave. He was previously head of Euro medium term notes at Deutsche Bank for three years.
