HSBC hires Matelwich to run sovereign bond trading

HSBC has recruited Robert Matelwich from Barclays Capital as head of its sovereign, supranational and agency bond trading team in London and New York.

Matelwich joins HSBC Securities, the US investment banking subsidiary of HSBC, as a managing director. Based in New York, he will take charge of a team of five traders in the US and London. He will report to Andrew Lombara, head of government bond trading at HSBC Securities.
