HSBC hired a senior investment banker in a push to win business across a range of products, including lucrative M&A deals in the UK.

Sarah Wiggins is set to join as a vice chair within its global banking business, according to a memo seen by Financial News. She will join from law firm Linklaters where she has worked for three decades, latterly as a partner in its M&A practice.
