JP Morgan has hired HSBC's former co-head of investment banking, Robin Osmond, to head its Europe, Middle East and Africa equity capital markets business for corporate clients.

Osmond is one of two senior appointments announced by JP Morgan, which has also hired Merrill Lynch's head of China and Hong Kong capital markets, Kester Ng, as co-head of Asia Pacific equity capital markets, excluding Japan.
