HSBC shakes up US management

HSBC's chief executive for North America has resigned amid trouble with the bank's mortgage business and a sweeping reshuffle of its senior ranks.

Bobby Mehta left his post as North American chief executive and is leaving after almost nine years with the bank. Sandy Derickson, president and chief executive officer of HSBC Bank USA, has also departed to be replaced by Paul Lawrence.
