Private banks rejig top ranks

HSBC and Standard Chartered have both made top-level changes in their wealth management businesses

Standard Chartered and HSBC have both made changes to the senior ranks of their wealth management businesses, as two of the world’s largest private banks forge ahead with aggressive global hiring plans.

Marianne Hay, head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is leaving Standard Chartered Private Bank after just 18 months in the role to pursue opportunities away from the firm, according to a statement today.
