‘Huge number’ of smaller finance companies not ready for Brexit, says MEP

Speaking at a Labour Party conference fringe event, Neena Gill cautioned that Brexit-related job cuts in financial services would not just be felt in London

Neena Gill, a UK representative on the European Parliament’s finance committee, has highlighted the plight of smaller UK finance companies that are unprepared for Brexit, with a “huge number” that “have not thought about it”.

Speaking at a fringe event at the Labour Party’s annual conference in Brighton, Gill rejected the popular assertion that a no-deal Brexit would provide certainty to business.
