Bayerische Hypo Vereinsbank (HVB), the German bank, has appointed Lutz Grüten as managing director in charge of equity research at HVB coprorates and markets.

Grüten has worked as a market analyst for the European chemicals sector and head of the worldwide sales team for the financial, logistics, automobiles, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sectors in Europe since joining the bank in May 2001.
