IA's Sears makes his mark

Regardless of the Investment Association's long-term leadership set-up, its interim CEO is pushing through a restructure of the trade body

IA's Sears makes his mark

The interim chief executive officer of the Investment Association has already stamped his mark on its structure, regardless of whether he ultimately lands the top job at the UK buyside trade body on a permanent basis.

Guy Sears, previously the IA's director of risk and compliance, was named interim CEO of the organisation in a bid to steady the ship after a period of uncertainty and upheaval in October that saw the departure of previous boss Daniel Godfrey, as well as key members M&G Investments and Schroders announce their intentions to quit the organisation.
