Iberia's long-delayed IPO finally on course

Iberia, the Spanish national airline, is finally set to launch its IPO in November - one year after it had originally hoped to come to the market.

The go-ahead for the deal by Sepi, the Spanish privatisation agency, and Xavier de Irala, chairman of Iberia, will come as a great relief to Merrill Lynch and Banco Santander Central Hispano, the two banks leading the sale.
