IBM could face SEC probe

IBM could face civil action from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over possible violations of US securities laws.

On Thursday the world's largest IT firm received a Wells Notice, which stated that SEC staff is considering recommending the regulatory body takes a civil action against IBM, connected with its ongoing investigation of Dollar General, a US supermarket chain.
