The chief executive of Intercontinental Exchange, the Atlanta-based operator of exchanges and clearing houses, has said the UK and Europe are likely to re-evaluate their approach to regulation in order to compete internationally.

"You do see this trend in the US towards lighter touch regulation and you’re going to have some kind of change going on in Europe post-Brexit," Jeff Sprecher told analysts on February 7.
