Intercontinental Exchange has hit back at concerns raised by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority about its $650 million acquisition of trading software provider Trayport, saying it does not believe a full divestiture is necessary.

In an August 18 statement, ICE said it does not agree with the CMA's findings and that they do not "align" with its intention to operate Trayport as an "open and autonomous" software provider.
