The IntercontinentalExchange, the US commodity and energy market, has become the second futures exchange this week to move into European clearing, the latest sign of growing pressure on Europe’s clearers, including ICE’s incumbent supplier LCH.Clearnet.

ICE has won approval from the UK watchdog the Financial Services Authority for its existing clearing service ICE Clear US to open for business in London, enabling UK institutions trading in the US to clear through ICE Clear US directly.
