Icelandic bank buys into Eastern Europe

William Fall, the former head of Bank of America outside the US, has made his first acquisition since joining Icelandic investment bank Straumur at the end of last month.

The bank has bought a 50% stake in Wood & Company, an investment bank focused on Central and Eastern Europe, for an undisclosed sum.
