IMF lures UK fund veteran to stateside post

A UK investment veteran once responsible for managing some of the country's largest asset pools is to take up a senior position at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.

Gary Steinberg, former chief executive of BP Investment Management, an operating subsidiary of the BP group, and investment chief at the Wellcome Trust, is to lead the IMF's investment unit.
