HSBC Asset Management has appointed Jonathan Polin as head of its intermediary business in the UK.

Polin joins from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was managing director responsible for UK sales. His previous roles include business development manager for Taylor Young Investment Management and regional sales manager for Prudential Assurance. Polin, whose start date is yet to be confirmed, will report to Dean Buckley, chief executive of the UK based HSBC Asset Management.
