Bill Mott, the most famous fund manager at Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM), has decided to hand over the day-to-day management of two funds to Leigh Harrison from the beginning of August.

Harrison, who is manager of the Credit Suisse Alpha Income Fund, will now also be in charge of the firm's Income and Monthly Income Funds. He joined the firm when it merged with SLC Asset Management, where he was head of equities, in December 2001. Mott will step back from his sales and marketing responsibilities, but will stay at CSAM in an advisory capacity. He will work with the UK equity team to identify changes in the main investment themes that create opportunities for CSAM's UK equity funds.
