New Star International has teamed up with Citibank to launch its new Capital Guarantee Higher Income fund. The fund will aim to provide investors with an annual income of 4%, combined with the potential for further long-term gains. Citibank will provide a capital guarantee, which will ensure that 90% of the initial investment will be returned at maturity. Toby Thompson, previously the head of UK equities at Newton Investment Management, will run the fund.
