Osbert Hood has been promoted to chief executive officer and president of Pioneer Investments' US division, Pioneer Investment Management, replacing Dan Geraci, who resigned in April.

Hood will report to Dario Frigerio, chief executive officer of Pioneer Investments, and will direct the strategy of Pioneer Investment Management, of which he was previously the chief operation officer and a member of the senor management committee. He joined Pioneer in November 2000 from John Hancock Advisors where he was executive vice-president, chief financial officer and treasurer.
