In brief: Swip fund launch/Mellon alliance/AIP assets

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, the fund management arm of Lloyds which runs over €109bn ($130bn) in assets, has launched a European corporate bond fund. The fund, managed by investment director Gareth Quantrill, will be invested in euro credit investment grade securities. Swip had €46bn in assets under management in the fixed interest and treasury markets at the end of last year.
