Incoming CMA head echoes calls for end to Big Four monopoly

The incoming head of the UK's competition watchdog has added his voice to calls for greater competition in the audit market, which is dominated by 'the Big Four'.

In a pre-appointment hearing on Tuesday, Andrew Tyrie appeared in front of the government's Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee ahead of taking up his new role as chairman of the Competition and Markets Authority.
