London-based venture capital firm Index Ventures has reached a deal to invest in the Cambridge Satchel Company, the fast-growing UK start-up which has become known for its brightly-coloured bags, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The deal has been agreed and is set to be announced soon, the person said.
