Industry welcomes IPO allocation recommendations

New US recommendations to improve the integrity of the initial public offering (IPO) process have been broadly welcomed by the securities industry.

Last October, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the US regulator, asked the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) to set up an IPO advisory committee to restore confidence in the IPO allocation process.
