Inefficient giving costs charities £1.2bn

UK charities are set to miss out on over a billion pounds in donations this year due to inefficient giving, according to a study.

Tax-inefficient giving by UK donors means around £1.2bn which could go to charity through tax allowances like gift aid will instead be filling the Government's coffers. Experts say donors must seek advice from independent financial advisers to make the most of their gift.
