Insight Investment, the fund management arm of HBOS, and Russell Investment Group, the multi-manager specialist, have formed an alliance to offer liability-driven investment funds to UK pension schemes.

Insight, which manages around £24bn (€35bn) in liability solutions, will focus on risk management, while Russell will do investment manager research.
