Instinet, the execution-only brokerage in which Reuters has a 63% stake, has made a third senior international hire in as many months as it seeks to build a presence outside the US and Europe.

John Marchal has joined Instinet from Deutsche Bank as chief executive and head of equities within the brokerage firm's Japanese business. He will report to Tony Mackay, head of international equities at Instinet Europe.
