Intelsat appoints bookrunners for $2bn IPO

Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley are thought to have won bookrunner roles on the initial public offering of Intelsat, the satellite communications provider.

The deal, which is tipped to be worth $2bn (€2.3bn), is the second satellite IPO mandate Morgan Stanley has won in six months. The US bank was mandated last year to lead the flotation of Inmarsat Ventures, which provides mobile satellite services.
