Invesco Perpetual has hired Stephanie Gerrard to bolster its European equities team at a time when the recent decision to merge its London and Henley teams seems likely to result in dozens of redundancies.

Gerrard was previously at Aberdeen Asset Management, where she was the deputy head of pan-European equities. Prior to joining Aberdeen in 1997, she was a US equity fund manager at Lazard Brothers.
