Investcorp, the asset management firm, has revealed that it made record full year profits and returned $1.4bn (€1.1bn) to investors, $400m more than last year.

The group recorded $130m in profit for the 12 months ending June 30, up 19% on the previous year, with private equity realisations accounting for $1.2bn of the proceeds returned to backers.
