Investec, the specialist banking group, has hired Michael Lacey-Solymar, head of mid-caps at investment bank UBS, to lead its own mid-cap advisory business.

Lacey-Solymar has been head of UBS's mid-market group for the past seven years and has worked for the bank for 18 years.
