Investec Asset Management has appointed Alastair Mundy as lead manager to core UK funds.

Mundy will take control of four funds including, subject to regulatory approval, the $402m (€413m) Temple Bar investment trust. Mundy joined Investec in July 2000 as manager of the Investec Capital Accumulator fund. Before that he had spent 12 years at Commercial Union where he served as lead manager on two of the firm's core equity products.
