Investit, the specialist fund management consultancy, has made its second high-profile hire in recent months with the appointment of Jim Trotter to lead the firm's performance measurement and risk practice.

Trotter comes from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where he worked for five years, latterly as head of performance and portfolio analysis in London. Prior to that he had worked for 10 years as a client manager at WM Company, the performance measurement firm.
