Mercer, which advises institutional clients with $9 trillion in assets on how to invest their money, is to part company with its most senior investment professional. The move comes amid a wider restructure of its global business lines.

US-based Phil de Cristo, president of investments and a member of Mercer's leadership group, will likely leave early in 2017, according to Andrew Kirton, who has been named global chief investment officer.
