Investors flee UK retail property funds as Brexit concerns rise

Acceleration of outflows in June as economic outlook worsened means investors have pulled £1.4bn from UK real estate funds since October

Investors continued to take money out of UK property funds in June, amid growing alarm at the prospect of a no-deal Brexit and its effect on the real estate market.

The net £105m pulled out of property funds marks the ninth consecutive month of withdrawals, according to fund data company Calastone, with £1.4bn withdrawn since October last year.
