Investors want Rob Goldstein, BlackRock’s chief operating officer, to replace Larry Fink as chief executive when the 66-year-old eventually steps down from the world’s largest asset manager.

According to a poll of heavyweight investors, more than two-fifths of the 12 respondents picked Goldstein as the most likely candidate to succeed Fink at the US investment company. Goldstein was chosen ahead of Mark Wiedman, Fink’s protégé.
