Making acquisitions in emerging markets is a tricky beast, but buyers from fellow emerging markets seem to do better than their developed market rivals.

In a report published this morning by Boston Consulting Group titled "BRICs versus Mortar", the management consultancy analysed 30,000 transactions to compare acquisitions in emerging markets to those made in developed markets.
