IPOs pulled in wake of US tragedy

Nomura Securities, the Japanese firm, has pulled the initial public offering of the Nomura Research Institute, while Continental Airlines in the US has pulled the flotation of ExpressJet, its regional airline unit.

The Japanese securities firm said it was postponing its offer due to instability in global markets following the terrorist attacks in the US.
